Glenfinnan, Fort William & Glencoe Adventure - Winter Edition From Glasgow

Your Glenfinnan tour begins in the heart of Glasgow City Centre, departing the bustling streets and heading North past Loch Lomond - the largest loch in Scotland - and travelling through the heart of the Trossachs National Park. The Trossachs are often known as "the Highlands in Miniature", perfect to get your warmed up for the real highlands further north.

We pause for refreshments in Tyndrum, in the Trossachs area, before our Glenfinnan tour continues onwards to Glencoe. The Glen is arguably one of Scotland's most famous glens. You may recognise it from several famous movies and tv shows. It features in James Bonds' Skyfall, as well as in scenes from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Outlander.

From the atmospheric and haunting Glencoe, we journey onwards to the Glenfinnan Viaduct, also known to many as the "Harry Potter Bridge".

The Glenfinnan Viaduct was arguably made most famous from its scenes in the Harry Potter films, and is surrounded by mountains on the shores of the stunning Loch Shiel. Not only is this location famous for the Jacobite Steam Train (aa. The Hogwarts' Express), Loch Shiel was the location of the 'Black Lake'. See if you can spot a 'grindylow' under the surface causing mischief! It's also the setting for Buckbeak's beautiful flight, scenes from the Triwizard Tournament, and also the stunning Loch on which Hogwarts sits.

We take in the viaduct and a brilliant photo opportunity before a visit to the nearby Glenfinnan Monument before a visit to the nearby Glenfinnan Monument which symbolises one of the most important events in Scottish history; the 1745 Jacobite Uprising.

From Glenfinnan, we travel along the banks of Loch Linnhe to the Highland town of Fort William which sits at the foot of Britain's tallest mountain - Ben Nevis. We stop here to give plenty of time for you to stretch your legs and have a lunch break.

We then begin our return journey to Glasgow, passing Loch Lomond and taking in a photo and coffee break. Arriving back into the city centre for early evening.
